Abstract

646,540. Roller mills. BUHLER, GEB. May 14, 1948, No. 13303. Convention date, May 22, 1947. [Class 59] A resiliently-mounted delivery plate 5 extending the full length of the rollers 1, 2 is positioned as shown to the rear of the grinding nip 4 so as to define a small collecting space 6 for the ground material and two delivery gaps through which the material passes in two streams 7 and 8. The under face of the plate rests at each end on a set screw 9 secured to a supporting plate carried by the side frame of the mill, and its rear edge is formed as a knife edge 11 which is received at each end in a notch 12 in a bell-crank lever 10 pivoted to the supporting plate and loaded by a spring 14 the tension of which is adjustable by a screw 15. The rocking movement of the lever is limited by an adjustment screw 16.
