Abstract
652,550. Machines for rolling dough. VICARS, Ltd., T. & T., and NAYLOR, J. F. Aug. 31, 1948, No. 22891. [Class 87 (ii)] A rolling machine comprising a hopper 21, a chamber 11 and two or more rollers has plates 16 to protect the ends of the rollers and the bearings from the dough. The plates are removable and are adjusted by wedges 17 to provide a small clearance with or to bear against the ends of the rollers. If all the roller ends are not protected by the plates, axially adjustable flanges 23 may be provided (Fig. 5, not shown). The machine may have four rollers to form two sheets of dough (Fig. 4, not shown).
