Abstract

638,203. Electrically-heated dryers. METCALF, J. H. July 19, 1947, No. 19368. [Class 39 (iii)] [Also in Group XIV] An electric heater for airing, drying &c. comprises a tubular metal body 10 of elongated cross-section held between two end brackets 27. A low temperature heating element 22 in casing 24 is supported by a strip 23 which is clamped at the joint flanges 16, 17. The body surface is indented 14 to give stiffness and to aid drying. Access to the terminal block 35 is obtained by a detachable cover plate 36.
