Abstract

615,392. Electrically heated paint removers. McDONALD, T. Aug. 8, 1946, No. 23594. [Class 39 (iii)] An electric heater for burning off paint comprises a casing 3 having an open side 4 and a handle 5, a heating element 6 being disposed in the casing. The open side 4 of the casing 3 is adapted to be applied to the paint to be removed, a reflector 7 of similar but smaller shape than the casing 3 surrounding the heating element 6 and serving to concentrate the heat at the opening. The casing 3, which is of sheet metal, tapers to a point at the front end 16.
