Abstract

618,893. Chicken brooders. WESTERN, L. G. Aug. 9, 1946, No. 23652. [Class 5 (ii)] The roof is arched and comprises inner and outer walls spaced by heat-insulating materials. The end walls are similarly formed, or lined with insulation, and formed with flanges 6a and pairs of projections 6b for seating the ends of the roof. Adjustable legs 14 permit the ground clearance to be varied. A heating element 11 is placed near the roof ; preferably at the focus of a parabola. Windows 7, thermostats 12, 13, and a current indicating lamp or alarum are also fitted.
