Abstract

611,186. Centrifugal pumps. HARLAND ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and ANDERSON, H. H. April 24, 1946, No. 12430. [Class 110 (i)] The pump impeller 11 is carried by an overhung shaft 12 and is introduced into the unsplit casing through an opening 14 afterwards closed by a cover 15. Neck rings 19, 20 are provided on both ends of the impeller. The volute chamber 10 has frusto-conical side walls and is divided by a partition over part of its length into radially inner and outer passages.
