584,558. Milk bottle crates. BENNETT, J. C. Dec. 18, 1944, No. 25403. [Class 18] A crate for milk bottles comprises upper and lower wooden frames a, b spaced apart by metal corner posts f of L-section which support midway between the frames a metal frame g, preferably of metal sheet bent to tubular form. Crossed rods, wires &c. c, c', h on frames f, b form compartments, and further rods, wires &c. on the bottom serve to support the bottles. Preferably one set of rods h is in two tiers with the other set between them, and secured by spot welding, wires &c. Strips i may be welded to the corner posts and projections j facilitate stacking. Hand-holes are provided.
