Abstract
576,010. Carpet clips. JOHNSON, F. D. March 4, 1944, No. 4061. [Class 142 (iv)] [Also in Group XIV] A clip for holding a stair or other carpet to a surface, and of the type comprising a bracket 5 for securing to the surface and a resilient U-shaped member 1, one leg 2 of which slidably engages the bracket and the other leg 3 overlies the carpet 13, has a friction surface provided on the front of the bracket so as to grip the under face of the carpet. The friction surface may be formed by providing blunted protuberances 12 upon it, or holes may be pierced in the bracket to form upstanding edges. The leg 1 of the U-shaped member slidably engaging the bracket may be forked or slotted so as to embrace the securing screw 8 for the bracket 5.
