Abstract

620,640. Spring clips. ALKIN, G. T. Jan. 24, 1947, No. 2347. Convention date, March 13, 1946. [Class 44] [Also in Groups VII and XIV] Spring clips 15 for use on the arms 8, 9 of a garment hanger comprise two slotted elements 16, 17 with jaws 27, 28, the opening between them being transverse to the hanger arm. The slot 18 in the element 16 is a neat fit over the arm while the slot 19 in the element 17 has a clearance so it may be both slid and canted on the arm. The element 16 has a nose. 20 engaging a slot 21 in the element 17 to allow them to pivot the elements being urged together by a spring 22. The clips are mounted on the arms with the elements 16 inwardly and when a garment is held the clips may be slid outwardly and the tension in the jaws 27 causes the slots 18 to bite on the arms 8, 9.
