[Class 103 (i)] A brake block 5 for a bicycle brake is mounted in a carrier constituted by a plate 1 formed with an inwardly folded heel 2 and with tapped bosses engaged by screws 4 having sharp tips which penetrate the base portion of the block and urge it against the heel. The inner surface 3 of the heel may be smooth or striated.
