Abstract
566,294. Pressure gauges. TOMEY & SONS, Ltd., J., and WHITE, A. E. March 3, 1943, No. 3474. [Classes 106 (ii) and 106 (iv)] A pressure, vacuum, or pressure and vacuum gauge is provided with means for adjusting the zero. The free end of a Bourdon tube 2 actuates a quadrant 4 meshing with a pinion on the pointer spindle. The quandrant is pivoted between plates 5, 6 which can be rotated about a boss concentric with the pointer spindle under the control of a cam bolt 17. The plates are locked in adjusted position by a screw 14 passing through an arcuate slot 15. The usual zero stop is omitted or located a substantial distance beyond the zero position. The cam bolt may be located in an arcuate slot to increase the range of adjustment.
