562,868. Pressure gauges. BARNET INSTRUMENTS, Ltd., and WILLIAMS, W. H. C. Dec. 31, 1942, No. 18616. [Classes 106 (ii) and 106 (iv)] A pressure gauge of the type in which the pressure - responsive element is connected to the pointer by a quadrant engaging a pinion on the pointer spindle 11, the pointer and the quadrant pivot 12 being carried by a mounting movable on a fixed support to adjust the pointer, is characterised in that the mounting 1 which comprises two spaced plates is pivoted at a single point 3 to the support 2 and one of the plates has a slot 4 engaged by a pin 5 attached eccentrically to a screw 6 rotatable in the support 2. The screw 6 can be adjusted through an aperture in the gauge back-plate (not shown). Accidental rotation of the screw 6 is prevented by a spring washer. A Bourden tube is fixed to the support 2, a passage being formed in the support to a nipple 111 to which the pressure pipe is connected.
