Abstract
646,898. Pressure gauges ; indicating- apparatus. BUDENBERG GAUGE CO., Ltd., and CADMAN, G. July 29, 1948, No. 20190. [Classes 106 (ii) and 106 (iv)] In a Bourdon pressure gauge having indicating mechanism mounted in a frame D which is pivotally adjustable to effect a zero adjustment of the indicating pointer D<SP>1</SP>, the adjustment is made by a screw E with a tapered end and mounted in the fixed structure B, which screw engages a hole d<SP>5</SP> formed in the part of the frame which is adjacent to the part of the structure B on which the frame is pivoted, a strong spring F being anchored on the structure with its free end bearing on the frame and tending to move the latter against the screw. The Bourdon tube A is secured to the structure B and its free end is connected by an adjustable link a to a quadrant G in mesh with a pinion d<SP>1</SP> on the shaft d of the pointer D<SP>1</SP> and mounted with the shaft d between two L-shaped plates d<SP>2</SP>, d3 which form the frame D. The latter is pivoted at b to the structure B, and carries a stop d<SP>6</SP> which is engaged by the spring F. The adjusting-screw E is threaded in a sleeve secured in the structure B and is accessible through a hole in the casing (not shown).
