Abstract

552,660. Adjustable posts. GASCOIGNE, G. H., KNOX, J. R., and DEACON, J. P. March 27, 1942, No. 4123. [Class 20 (i)] A telescopic support for platforms and stages as required on aerodromes, comprises outer and inner tubular members A, B each provided with apertures a disposed to give a vernier adjustment for height and to receive a cross pin c. The outer member is provided with a pin G engaging a slot H in the inner member. The post is supported so that slight relative movement may occur between it and the support, by providing hemispherical surfaces B3 on the post and support and clamping the parts together by a bolt E provided with a rubber washer E3 and adapted to screw into the foot of the post.
