[Class 82(i)] [Also in Group XXXIV] The pivot member of a pivot bearing for a meter or the like is made of a gold alloy containing also other noble metals and non-noble metals, particularly platinum group metals, silver, copper, and zinc. Examples containing specified proportions of gold, platinum, silver, copper, and zinc, with or without palladium, are described. The pivot may be in the form of an insert carried by a shank of harder material such as stainless steel.
