Abstract

511,635. Mounting terminals. CRABTREE & CO., Ltd., J. A. (Schiele Industriewerke). May 31, 1938, No. 16187. [Class 38 (i)] A terminal or binding post 1 is secured in an opening 13 in a base 12 by a resilient ring 11 that is deformable to permit the insertion of the terminal. The ring 11 is housed in an annular groove 10 deep enough to allow the ring to be compressed by the coned surface 14 as the shank 9 of the terminal is inserted in the opening 13. The ring then expands in the enlarged space 15 and engages a shoulder 16 to secure the terminal. The body 1 of the terminal is square and has cable entry slots 2 leading to a cylindrical bore in which fits the head 4 of the screw 5 that co-operates with a split ring 6 and washer 7.
