A metallic wall plug comprises a polygonal body 1, having an axial-bore 2, screwed at one end 3, tapered at 4, and merging into a smaller bore 4b. The body has tongues 7, formed by radial slots 5, and barbs joined by a saw-toothed groove 8, and the end is radiused to form a thin-rim 4a.
