Abstract

480,629. Vehicle wheels. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and GOODYEAR, C. E. Jan. 21, 1937, No. 1778. [Class 144 (i)] For attaching a single-disc wheel by a central nut to a splined hub of the kind usually fitted with a wire-spoked wheel, the disc is fitted with a sleeve 4 splined at 5 to the permanent hub 8 and formed with coned flanges 6, 10 for engaging coned seatings on the hub 8 and securing nut 12 respectively. A radial flange 3 on the collar 4 is secured to the wheel disc as by welding or riveting. Specification 145,517, [Class 144 (i)], is referred to.
