Abstract

505,525. Vehicle wheels. PALOU, J. April 29, 1938, No. 12909. Convention date, April 30, 1937. [Class 144 (i)] Means for mounting motor car wheels on the axles of horse-drawn vehicles comprises a hub 1 provided with a flange 2 which is secured to the wheel disc 7 by bolts 8, the hub being secured to the existing sleeve 3 of the axle 5 by means of recesses which engage with lugs 6 on the sleeve, and a cap nut 9 on the end of the sleeve. According to a modification, the hub may be secured by means of radial bolts or set screws which pass through the hub and engage with the sleeve.
