Abstract

348,877. Detachable wheels. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., 32, Osnaburgh Street, London, and GOODYEAR, C. E., of Dunlop Rubber Co., Foleshill, Coventry. May 14, 1930, No. 14799. [Class 144 (i).] In a detachable wheel having a hub-shell 2 formed with a plain cylindrical inner surface and adapted to enclose the attachment devices, a disc 6 provided with the usual bolt-holes 8 is fitted in any desired position axially of the hub. In the construction shown, the flanged edge of the disc is secured by rivets 9. The disc may be welded to the hub, and these parts may be formed with interengaging flats to take the torque stresses.
