424,092. Drawing - apparatus for spinning - machines. KONO, M., 30, Kotobuki-cho, Nishinomiya, Japan. Jan. 12, 1934, No. 1217. Convention date, April 21, 1933. [Class 120 (ii)] A high - draft mechanism for a spinning- frame comprises four lines of rollers 1, 1<1>-4, 4<1>, the third and back lines of rollers being weighted as at 8 and a guide tube 18, having an orifice smaller than the mean diameter of the sliver treated, being mounted upon a traverse guide bar 19 at a distance behind the rollers 4, 41 less than the mean length of the fibres, while the third line of rollers 3, 3<1> are disposed at a distance from the back rollers 4, 4<1> greater than the mean length of the fibres. The front, third and back lines of rollers are weighted by saddles 5, 8, an arm 7 on the saddle 8 projecting through a slot 6 in the saddle 5 to which it is connected by a pin 9 and the force of the weight 16 being applied at 10 through the levers 11, 12, 13. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a modification in which endless belts supported by rollers and fixed supports are substituted for the second and third lines of rollers. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
