Abstract
599,754. Spindle driving arrangements for spinning-mules. CHARLESWORTH, H. Sept. 22, 1945, No. 24616. [Class 120 (ii)] The invention relates to the driving of groups of spinning-mule spindles by a band tensioned by an adjustable device. The tension arrangement comprises slotted brackets b, e extending rearwardly from the spindle rail a at each end of the group, the bracket b carrying an adjustable guide pulley d and bracket e carrying a fixed guide pulley k and an adjustable tension lever f with a pulley g attached to one end and a spring h fastened to the other. The spring h may be connected to the spindle rail a by an adjustable anchorage..Stops n<1>, n<2>, adjustable along the slot of the bracket e, are provided to limit the extent of swing of the lever f.
