Abstract
403,649. Moistening air. IMPERIAL TOBACCO CO. (OF GREAT BRITAIN & IRELAND), Ltd., East Street, Bedminster, Bristol, and SHARMAN, C. F., Windynook, Keynsham, Somerset. June 20, 1932, No. 17362. [Class 55 (ii).] Air-humidifying apparatus employing steam under pressure of about 30 lb. per sq. in. or higher includes a closed vessel 1 which acts to dry the steam entering by a pipe 5 and passing to radial nozzles 6 whose orifices 7 lie adjacent to the outlets of tubes 8 dipping into water in an annular vessel 2. The nozzles are preferably upwardly inclined to allow water to drain away. Tubes 8 are adjustably mounted in clamps 9 which may be adjusted along the nozzles. Nonconducting material 3 is interposed between the steam and water vessels.
