Abstract
A dyestuff paste for use in printing textiles comprises a thioindigoid dyestuff and b : b <1>-dioxydiethylether. The preparation of pastes from Thianthrene pink FF (4 : 4<1>-dimethyl-6 : 6<1>-dichlorthioindigo), Thianthrene orange R and Thianthrene red violet RH is described in examples. For printing, a reducing and thickening paste containing British gum, corn starch, potassium carbonate, sodium formaldehyde sulphoxylate and glycerine is added to the dyestuff paste, and the fabric is printed, aged and oxidized in the usual manner. Instead of adding the b : b <1>-dioxydiethylether to the dyestuff paste it may be incorporated in the reducing and thickening paste, either before or after the addition of the dyestuff thereto. Specifications 147,102 and 150,303, [both in Class 15 (ii), Dyeing, Processes &c. for], are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use of b : b <1>-dioxydiethylsulphide as an addition to the dyestuff or printing pastes. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
