Abstract

The process of the parent Specification is extended to dyestuffs of the dibenzanthrone and isodibenzanthrone series, which are printed on textile fabrics with the addition of b : b <1>-dioxydiethylether to the printing pastes. Dispersing agents, such as salts of alkylnaphthalene sulphonic acids, may also be added. The preparation of dyestuff pastes from Anthrene jade green, brominated dimethoxy-dibenzanthrone (Specification 205,304, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.],), the dyestuffs made according to example 10 of Specification 193,431, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], and example 3 of U.S. Specification 1,761,624, Caledon purple R and Anthrene dark blue BO is described in examples. For printing on cotton, these pastes are mixed with the reducing and thickening paste described in the parent Specification. Specifications 14498/12 and 181,304, [both in Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], also are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use of b : b <1>-dioxydiethylsulphide as p an addition to the dyestuff or printing pastes, and also specifies the sodium salt of abietene sulphonic acid as a dispersing agent. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
