Abstract

Coal dust ashes obtained as a waste product in burning powdered coal are used as a filler for bitumens and asphalts to increase the spreading capacity. In an example the bitumen is heated to 250 DEG C. and the dust added in amounts of 40 per cent dust to 60 per cent bitumen. The composition may be used as a coating material for rustproofing of steel tubes.
