Abstract
351,193. Ship construction. LAMBERT, W. and GERMAN, H. H., 315, St. Sacrament Street, Montreal, Canada. May 19,1930, No. 15324. [Class 113 (ii).] The hull construction comprises a continuous keelson 59 and side stringer 56, the side framing comprising web frames 40 with intermediate ordinary frames 40. Below the main stringer 56, the framing is also carried inwards and downwards these portions being plated over to form inclined sides of the hold 6 at the same time form triangular outer compartments which provide a double skin below the bottom. The transverse bulkhead may be continued across these longitudinal compartments and manholes are provided to facilitate access. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 10088/97 and 17224/05, [both in Class 113, Ships &c. Div. I.].
