Abstract
335,720. Wallace, W. R. Sept. 10, 1929. Anti-dazzle screens for motor &c. vehicles of the kind in which each screen is framed along one horizontal and one vertical edge only, are supported by a friction fitting vertically adjustable on a bar adapted to swing about a horizontal axis to raise the screen to an inoperative position. A clip a with one of its edges attached to the screen c, embraces a bar b of channel-section acting as a guide and support for the screen, and a bow-shaped or other spring d, having projecting ends d<1> for releasing the pressure between the bar and the clip is arranged between the other edge of the clip, and the back of the bar b. The upper end of the bar b is secured to a spring- controlled pin rotatably mounted in a socket f, the head e<1> of the pin having projections e<2> engaging corresponding recesses f<1> in the socket to maintain the screen in its inoperative position.
