Abstract

322,344. Small, H. G. Dec. 7, 1928. Anti-dazzle screens.-An anti-dazzle screen for the use of vehicle drivers comprises a vertically disposed flat strip 1 of fibre, oxidised metal or other material hinged at 2 to the upper edge of the windscreen or other support and an horizontal strip 6 adjustably mounted on the vertical strip. Preferably the vertical strip 1 is passed - through slits 7 in the horizontal strip 6 so that the latter is frictionally retained in any desired position, while the arm 6<1> of the strip 6 on the side' of the strip 1 corresponding to the side of the vehicle on which the driver sits is made longer than the other arm 6<11>. A catch 9 is provided on the vehicle roof 5 or other convenient position to retain the screen in an inoperative portion when not required for use.
