Abstract
303,854. Parrier, G. Jan. 11, 1928, [Convention date]. Skein-holders and swifts; creel arrangements.- An adjustable skein-holder comprises arms D pivoted at their ends near the circumference of a disc A and adapted to pass through slots in a rim B, the latter being turnable about the disc A whereby the arms may be moved from their closed position E to the extended radial position E'. The holder may be secured in any position by a screw C, a spring F tending to retain the arms D in their extended position E<1>. The skeinholder may be braked by a weighted rope passing round a pulley secured to the spindle or by a leather strip spring-pressed there against. In a modification, the arms D may be formed with two limbs arranged on either side of the disc A.
