Abstract

298,418. Kasanof, M. M. Jan. 10, 1928. Drying fabrics in long lengths. - A device for steaming tubular fabrics comprises a steam pipe 13 on to which the fabric A is packed, and a bowl 10 detachably connected to the top of the pipe. A steam dome 19 for drying the fabric is mounted over the bowl, the size of the steam space 20 being determined by the number of washers 34 on the pipe pillar 15. A stretching ring 30 may be secured by a bayonet joint on the dome 19, and a stretching frame 21 mounted on the top of the dome capable of adjustment round the axis of the dome and also about a horizontal axis at 22. Drain pipes 35, 36 are provided.
