Abstract
296,617. Dutfield, A. E. Jan. 12, 1928. Addition to 292,853. Window frames; glazing. -The channel formed as described in the parent Specification is extruded and formed with beads b which, when inserted in the housing c, cause the sides f, g of the channel to incline inwardly to grip the glass, or the sides of the channel may be tapered to suit glass with bevelled edges. In a modification, the strip is formed with an intermediate integral or separate rib k and two grooves l to facilitate the formation of a double U-sectioned channel. One side wall may be omitted to give an L-sectioned guide. The channels are wholly or partly covered with felt, velvet, or the like. One bead b may be omitted and the remaining one positioned on the edge of the frame to act as a fence rubber, the strip being secured by screws through the central part h.
