Abstract

505,960. Glazing window frames. SLEIGH, H. L., and CHESTON, A. S. Oct. 10, 1938, No. 29247. [Class 20 (iii)] A window panel 1 is pro. vided around its edges with e U-shaped strip or channel 2 of rubber or-like resilient material and is detachably secured against the vertical wall 5 of the frame 6 by a separate, laterally. compressed strip 11, of rubber or the like, disposed between the channel 2 and an upstanding lip 9 of the frame 6. The strip 11 is of substantially triangular section, the underface, which contacts with the base of the frame, sloping downwardly, while the face in contact with the channel 2 is formed with a groove 12 which engages with a complementary rib 3 on the wall of the channel member. The upper end of the channel wall is formed with a flap 4 which overlaps the top portion of the outer sloping face of the strip 11. Specifications 426,046 and 442,552 are referred to.
