Abstract

202,068. White, H. O. May 19, 1922. Vehicle windows; glazing windows; window frames. - In vehicle windows the four edges of the glass pane B are framed bv rubber channelsection pieces C<3> having studs c on ' the bottom adapted to engage in sockets d of slightly larger diameter but of less depth, in the channels of the window frame D<3>. To avoid socketing of the channels in the window frame, pieces d' of wood, metal, or the like, provided with holes d, may be employed in the channels. The rubber channel-pieces may be reinforced by canvas or sheet metal, and instead of having studs the bottom of the rubber piece may be thickened and hollow. In another alternative, a piece of rubber tubing d' is arranged between the rubber channel-piece and the bottom of the channel in the window frame. The rubber channel-pieces may be in short lengths spaced a suitable distance apart on the glass edge.
