Abstract

275,812. Smith, T. Sept. 25, 1926. Ambulances. - Brackets for the support of stretcher platforms and of seats in ambulance vehicles and the like consist of a base part a adapted to be secured to the vehicle and a movable part b hinged to the part a, the part b being adapted to support on one face a stretcher tray and when turned over to present a seat on the other face. In the form shown the part a is T- shaped adapted to be secured by bolts a<3> at the wheel housing. The part b is hinged to the part a by means of a pivot c and its upper face when extended is disposed in a lower plane than that of the part a and carries a stretcher support n. The lower face carries a seat squab p. Margin r and rail q serve to position the stretcher legs s.
