Abstract

311,933. Stockall, F. J. May 9, 1928. Ambulances.-In a convertible seat of the kind comprising a rotatable member having a seating surface 6 on one side and means for attaching a mattress to, or adapted for the support of a stretcher on, the other side, a relatively non-rotatable wheel 7 is provided on each end of the seat, the spindle 8 of which passes through a slot 9 in a bracket 10, 11, the wheels co-acting with fixed racks 12 so that as the seat is rotated it travels to and fro along the racks. The ledge 13, forming part of an ambulance framing, may act in conjunction with the overturned seat to support a stretcher or a mattress. Catches may be provided to lock the seat in either of its extreme positions.
