Abstract
458,824. Nursery seats. BAVEYSTOCK, A. R. H., Teesdale Works, Fairfield Road, Bow, London. June 25, 1935, No. 18214. [Class 52 (ii)] A nursery seat the frame of which is mounted on wheels or rollers 4 is provided with a temporary support 12 independent of the wheels and movable from an inoperative position clear of the floor into a position in which it takes the whole or a part of the weight of the chair and raises one or more or all of the wheels off the floor. The chair comprises side members 2, a seat 5, back 6 and arms 7 on which a detachable tray 8 is mounted by means of brackets 9 and spring pressed bolts 10. The support 12 consists of a U-shaped member 12 pivoted to the side members 2 and held in the inoperative position by pivoted catches 14. Another member 12 may be provided at the front of the chair, or a similar U-shaped member may be provided at each side of the frame to pivot outwardly on a longitudinal axis.
