Abstract

203,913. Tagg, W. G. Sept. 23, 1922. Sliding seats. - In chairs of the kind which comprise a back 1 pivoted to the side-supports 3 about a horizontal axis 2 and hinged to the rear end of a sliding seat 6, the seat is provided near its forward end with rollers 7 engaging slots 8 which are provided in the side-frames 10 and are inclined upwardly towards the front of the chair. A projection, such as a dome of silence 14, is mounted adjacent the rollers so as to bear on the side-frames and prevent undue wear of the bottom of the slots by the ends of the roller spindles.
