480,892. Rocking seats; seats convertible into beds. DUCROT, A. Oct. 23, 1936, No. 28890. Convention date, Feb. 26. [Class 52 (ii)] A seat back c is pivoted at C to one end of a cranked lever 1 which pivots on the seat frame and has its other end pivoted to the rear of the seat b. Movement of the back upon the lever 1 in the rearward direction is limited by abutment devices 14, 15, 16, and the seat and back can thereafter rock together about the pivot A of the cranked lever against a spring 5.. The movement of the back may be guided by providing shaped tracks for laterally projecting pins G thereon, or these pins may be linked to a pivoted cranked lever 4 which lifts the front of the seat as the back swings rearwardly.
