462,096. Tip-up seats. FISCHEL FILS, D. G. June 17, 1936, No. 16858. Convention date, June 17, 1935. [Class 52 (ii)] A theatre &c. seat comprises a back-rest 3 guided to slide in the supporting frame 1 by co-operating rollers 4 and grooves 5 so as to move from the inclined position of use to a vertical position, and a seat 2 pivoted to the supporting frame but not adapted to slide. During lowering of the seat its rear position abuts against the backrest and raises it, the curved slots 4 causing it to take up an inclined position. The rollers may be of rubber. The frame members 1 are connected by struts and serve as arm-rests.
