Abstract
274,125. Hampe, R. July 12, 1926, [Convention date]. Hanks, treating.-In the formation of knots of yarn and the like, the hanks are wound on knot pins b, c, mounted on a frame a placed on a table 1 beneath a slide carrier 2 operated by a mangle motion consisting of endless racks driven by toothed wheels 9 from a motor 12 to wind yarns from bobbins 5 mounted on links 4 around the pins b, c, the yarns passing down the tubes 4 to the mouth-pieces 6 for this purpose. A yarn meter is used, and when the right length for hanks is wound on the pins b, c, the frame a is lifted out on to a table 20, and the pins c are rotated by worm and worm wheel mechanism f, g, Fig. 1. A rod k is then inserted as shown in Fig. 2, the arm l, carrying pins b, is swung over to the position shown, and the end slid off the pins b on to the pins c. A reverse turn of the shaft h completes the hanks which are removed by swinging back the arms l and lifting out the rod
