Shelves.-The upright supports of a block of adjustable shelving are connected transversely and longitudinally by tie-bars which also support the shelves. Crescent-shaped grooves d at each end of the tie-bars c<1> engage the rims of corresponding apertures in opposing upright supports a. The shelves b have downturned edges fitting over the tie-bars. Back plates and transverse partition plates are provided, connected by clips to the uprights, which are also stiffened by rear diagonal stays. Tubular uprights are preferably used with feet e, and having at their upper ends rotatable plugs f screwed to engage sleeves g which are adjusted to bear against the ceiling.
