Abstract
358,899. Collapsable showcases. ANSELL, A., 29, Effingham Road, Surbiton, Surrey. June 14, 1930, No. 18289. [Class 52 (i).J A collapsable showcase is built up by positioning the front, back, and side walls between channelled beadings c, double channels c<2> being used at the back of the case to accommodate sliding doors. The beadings are held in spaced relation by tubular distance pieces threaded on screwed rods which pass through lugs f on the beadings, forming pillars situated whollv within the case. Where the rods pass through horizontal shelves, or top and bottom members, rubber covered washers e are provided which have spigots fitting in holes in these members. Similar washers with plug-tapped holes may be used as terminal nuts d for short pillars and pairs of washers a with superposed grooves may be used to hold guard rails b. Specification 306,577, [Class 52 (i), Furniture, Fittings &c. for], is referred to in the Provisional Specification which also describes air vents for showcases and bracket arms for shelves with eves which fit over the screwed rods and pairs of crossed laths with perforated ends fitting over the four corner rods upon which shelves may be placed.
