Abstract
155,618. Harrison, C. Aug. 2, 1919. Rack stands.-In a storage rack of the kind having uprights 1 connected at the top and bottom by horizontal members 3, 4 and carrying adjustable socket members 9 to support intermediate horizontal members 8, 13, the members 9 are formed with spigots 21, and may be held in their adjusted position by pins 10 engaging holes 11, or by forming them in two flanged portions adapted to be bolted round the upright as shown in Fig. 5. Additional tie-rods 8 may be attached to the members 9 by providing each member with a link 26 having hooks 27 to pass through slots in the flanges 23. Trays 15 with hooked edges 16 may be provided to engage with the members, 13. The clips 2 for the horizontal members 3, 4 and the socket members 9 may be formed with interengaging portions 32 as shown in Fig. 11.
