378,572. Shelves. BOUCHERGILES & CO., Ltd. and HOLLIS, J. M., 73, Great Hampton Street, Birmingham. June 2, 1931, No. 16036. [Class 52 (i).] In adjustable shelving constructed with uprights 1 of anglesection, and connected in pairs by a plurality of runners 2 which also serve as supports for shelves on both sides of each pair of uprights, each runner comprises two girders 2 of angle-section separated at their ends by members 3 which are clamped to an upright by bolts 4 passing through holes 5 therein. The vertical webs of the girders 2 butt against the edges of the uprights, but the horizontal webs may be continued and at their rear be provided with upturned ends. Adjacent sets of uprights are connected by slotted links 10 adjustably clamped at 11, and by crossed stays 9 having preferably more than one hole for adjustably clamping to the bolts 4. The girders 2 may be pivotally clamped to the members 3 to allow for inclined shelving.
