Abstract

1,076,302. Tables. D. A. F. FLODELL. March 22, 1966 [April 28, 1965], No. 12558/66. Heading A4H. A table comprises a base having two legs 26, 28 interconnected by a cross stay 24, and a leaf 36 which is secured to horizontal L-sectioned bars 30, 32 on the tops of the legs by a spring force exerted by the base. The leaf has a plurality of brackets of double angle profile secured to its underside and the L-sectioned bars 30, 32 are engaged therewith by forcing the bars towards each other against the spring action of the cross stay 24 and then releasing them. The cross stay 24 is connected to sleeves 18, 20 in which the legs are r otatably mounted. A plurality of leaves may be supported in end to end relation by a plurality of bases having their L-sectioned bars crossing the abutting edges of two leaves.
