Skein holders and swifts- A swift for carrying a hank of yarn comprises spokes 2 and hank-supports 4, formed of U-section material. Each pair of spokes 2 is provided with a wire stiffening-member 3, and the hank-supports 4 are maintained in position by the spring of the said spokes 2. Notches 2<2> are provided on the spokes to accommodate the supports 4 at varying distances from the centre of the swift, and oval holes 4<1> are formed in the supports 4 to facilitate their adjustment.
