Belts.-In a chain for a conveyer-belt or driving-belt, rubber or the like material is disposed in an integral mass on the inside and outside of the side walls of alternate links, sufficient clearance being left between the side walls for insertion of the connecting-links. The link skeleton A is stamped. out of sheet-steel to a V-shape, the side walls a being formed with holes f and grooves b. The opposing faces of the grooves b are parallel. This skeleton A is completely enclosed in vulcanized rubber, which passes through the holes f to hold it in position, only the opposing faces of the corrugations b being left uncovered for passage of the connecting-link i. Holes g, h are formed in the rubber sides so that the pin d carrying a bush e and link i may be placed in position and the ends riveted over. To assist in holding the rubber in position, a web k of rubber joins the rubber on both sides of the link, and the corrugations b may be annular and concentric with the pin d, or any other shape.
