Abstract

Driving and like chains without separate joint pins.-In chains for bin discharges and conveyers, the links are composed of one or more transverse .members c and two or more longitudinal members a, b which project on both sides of the member c and are pivotally connected to the corresponding members of the adjoining links. The interengaging pivot pins e and holes d are arranged so that each link can be engaged with the next by a transverse movement. The side members of the links may be shaped as shown in Fig. 2 to correspond with the curvature of the chain-wheels, and the pitch of the chain may approximately equal the diameter of the wheel.
