Abstract

339,605. Roadless Traction, Ltd., and Penn, O. S. Sept. 4, 1929. Addition to 269,644, [Class 24, Chains &c.]. Endless-chain conveyers with slat and lath carriers.-Relates to conveyer chains in which the links are articulated by means of rubber or like blocks, as described in the parent Specification with reference to endless-tracks for vehicles, the pin or other metallic joint being dispensed with. A conveyer chain may be constructed, as shown in Fig. 10, of plates 29 formed in halves of U- section and connected together by links 30 and rubber blocks 31, 32, the central blocks 32 being mounted so that no strain due to vertical load is taken by them. In the construction shown in Fig. 11 the conveyer plates or track shoes 29<1> are provided with ends 33 of I-section, on either side of which are. mounted main and central rubber blocks 31, 32, held in place by the links 30.
